4. Keep fish tank away from the windows, door and heated place to prevent the sudden temperature changes. Place it against an inside wall.
5. Decline of essential chemical in water may cause of sickness in your fish, so always maintain the water quality. Before leaving fishes in water, test ammonia, nitrite and pH level with the special kit. When your fishes feel relaxed in water, change only 10 percent of water after every 10 days. 6. Feed your fish with commercially prepared food instead of your own making food. You can also store its food in cool and dry place at least for few months.

8. Always cover pet tank with some shad or hood almost at all time because there are some fishes who are jumpers.
9. Keep secure your fish with slight changes on daily basis and check the tank after some time.
10. One more thing is important that your tank should be enough wide according to the number of fish. It should be about 30 square inches of surface area per inch of fish. Pet tank can be increased about 50 to 100 inches if you are adding more fishes.
11. Always keep separate sharper and slower fishes. It is not good to keep them together; it can be harmful for both of them especially for the slower fishes, because faster fishes will eat food speedily than the slower and slow fish will be a cumberment for the active fish.
